Does ConnectID see or store my personal information?
No, ConnectID enables the secure transfer of information between your bank and the business requesting it. ConnectID manages the network but never sees or stores your personal information at any time. It’s just the bridge that connects your data to where you authorise it to go.
What kind of personal information can I share using ConnectID?
You can securely share verified information such as your full name, address, date of birth, proof of age, email address, phone number, and bank account details.
ConnectID is designed to help businesses request only the information needed to provide their service, so you can share less personal information while still securely verifying who you are.
Which Identity Providers are live with ConnectID?

Who verifies my identity?

When using ConnectID who can see my personal information?

ConnectID for businesses

Is ConnectID secure?
Yes. Information shared through ConnectID comes from trusted, regulated sources, such as APRA-regulated banks. Before any personal information is shared, customers securely authenticate with their Identity Provider (such as their bank) and consent to the information being shared.

Information is passed from the bank to your business via a secure API.

ConnectID does not see or store customers’ personal information at any time.
How can ConnectID help protect against frauds and scams?
Customers must be authenticated by their bank before they can consent to share their information. This helps businesses confirm their customers are in fact who they say they are.
How can my business access ConnectID?
You can integrate ConnectID directly or through a trusted partner.
